The idea of owning and running a boutique full of uniquely beautiful items has been a dream of mine for several years. I imagined creating handmade trinkets and beauty bits that would make the wearer feel confident, lovely, and quite honestly ready to conquer the world!

After pushing off my own insecurities and self-doubt of having those dreams come to pass, Bachman’s Sparrow was finally born in May of 2010. Taking a cue from the bird named after the reverend, Bachman’s Sparrow stood for the ability to adapt to our current environmental condition in a positive and beautiful way – a way of combining the beauty of nature and modernity.

We started with a few rope necklaces here and there, some light bulb terrariums, and bauble rings. We spread the word to friends and family, and continued growing our range of products. Currently we are obsessed with all things hair - it's amazing what a bit of accessorizing does in adding style to basic outfits!

After recently developing eczema and watching both of my parents suffer through it, I started focusing on concocting deliciously moisturizing products that didn’t require preservatives or artificial ingredients to work effectively. Our beauty line is one of the very few all natural lines available, and while it may mean smaller profit margins, we are committed to continue promoting affordable healthy choices.

We are still in the growing process of our company, but have loved every minute of learning the trade, creating relationships with other crafters and business owners, and look forward to helping the world live healthier and more fashionably, easily!
